“To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event.”
-Henri Cartier Bresson
The city of Rome is full of great unchanging monuments; the photographer’s dilemma becomes how to capture characteristically Roman life amid these permanent stage sets. In the spirit of Henri Cartier Bresson, my goal is to capture those significant events that would otherwise go unnoticed against the grandeur of the city’s architecture. This collection illustrates the vibrancy and energy of the city through the capture of spontaneous candid moments of everyday life and amplify these moments against a grand architectural setting.
